Scores are calculated based on ratings from managers' entire reporting line rollups as well as managers' direct reports only. These rater types are defined as follows:


  • Entire rollup = all respondents who roll up to the manager (i.e., all direct and indirect reports)

  • Direct reports = only respondents who report directly to the manager

Scores for a manager's entire rollup are helpful in understanding how respondents within larger teams collectively perceive leadership within the work unit. Scores provided by a manager's direct reports are helpful in explaining aggregate scores for larger teams and identifying specific managers who may need recognition, support, or prioritization.
